God willed it so and on Thursday, March 31, 1994, Mr. Cleveland Golden Sr. 63, passed away at his home in the Denmark Community after a long illness. He was the son of the late Mr. Theodore Golden Sr., and Mrs. Mattie Sue Allen Golden, born November 14, 1930 in Madison County Tennessee where he attended the public schools.
During his early youth he professed a hope in Christ and was a member of The Cerro Gordo M. B. Church. He was united in holy matrimony to Lela Belle Horton on October 9, 1955. Bro. Golden retired in 1991 from The Madison County School system with 18 and one-half years of service.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife, Lela Golden of Jackson,TN; six sons, Cleveland Golden Jr., Michael Golden, Byron Golden, and Rev. Andre Golden all of Jackson, TN; Vincent (Sonya) Golden of Atlanta, GA, and Robert (Donna) Henning Jr. of Milwaukee, WI; seven daughters, Cleaster Blackmon, Sandra (Morris) Chandler, Gretelle (Joey) Ingram, Renee (Matthew) Tate, Thelma (Neil) Williams, Sheila (Dwayne) Foster and Virginia Anderson all of Jackson, TN; a step-mother, Almeda Golden of Jackson, TN; six sisters, Jimmie Ruth (James) Beckum of Milwaukee, WI, Juanita (B.C.) Smith, Geraldine (Walter) Ridley, Debra Fuller, Vanessa Ike, Karen (David) Fuller, and Martha (Darrell) Cole all of Jackson, TN; three brothers, Theodore (Luticia) Golden Jr.,and Jerry Patton both of Jackson, TN, and Willie (Maxine) Golden of Milwaukee; Five aunts, Mary Blair, Jimmie Ruth Bond, Pearl Golden, Irene Golden, and Ora Allen; one uncle, Charles (Essie) Golden. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
