Notes for William: bur Yellow Creek Cem nr. Tapoco, NC. He was traveling to his son, William's home on a mare. The mare was frightened by some knives, spoons, and forks that he was carrying. The mare passed under a low limb on a tree, such that William's head struck the branch and he was killed.
