Surnames: Walker, Rodgers. Coffman, Turnley, Kilpatrick, Miller
I want to invite descendants & researchers of Nancy Walker (1796-1859) or Buckley Walker (1785-184??), residents of Overton/Pickett Co., to review the notebook I recently gave to the libraries of Overton, Pickett, Putnam & Fentress county. It is titled "Ancestors, Relatives & Descendants Of Buckley Walker, a Virginian" and was given to the genealogy depts. It has been a coloborative efforts of several of us seeking to solve the "mystery" of these two. Some documents say that they were brother & sister, & grandchildren of Buckley Sr. (1736-1810) from Campbell Co., Virginia.

Included in the notebook are the outline & some details of over 250 known descendants of these two. Hopefully it may give you a name to connect to your Walker line. If you do find a common ancestor, I'd love to share info about that connection.

As Nancy was never married, but bore at least 11 children, some of her descendants are considering having a DNA test to see if it can be determined who might have fathered some of her offsprings.

Additionally, only one child, George Washington Walker (1816-1899), is known of Buckley & Mary (Thornton) Walker. I find that unusual in a time of large families. After 1830's, no records have been found of Buckley & Mary Thornton. George W. Walker is found next in Dyer Co., TN in the 1840's.

Lary Walker, ggg-grandson of Buckley Walker (Jr)
