I know that John Large (aka Largent--a Norman name)was a signer on an important Cherokee document in the 1830s (abt. 1835 to my recollection) that basically set up the new tribal organization for Cherokees left east of the Mississippi. Further research yielded that another John Large farmed on the Cherokee Old Fields in Hayesville, NC called "Tuskitee" or what I learned was modern day Duck Town on the current reservation. I believe this line intermarried with the Loves and Dillards from that area in the 17-1800s, some of which ended up in Sevier, TN just over the border. Shana
