Hi,
As you know Smiths are in the millions just in the US. I am looking for my
Smiths too. My grand mother Martha Florence Smith was one of 17 children born in Clay or Overton county Tennessee 1n 1670. Her Parents were Stephen I.K. Smith and Ruth Ellen Rich.
Stephen fought what with the CSA in TN. He was wounded but not serious enough to keep him from having all of those kids.
After the war the family moved to Arkansas and settled in Newton countyy.
My great grandparents are buried in Plumlee cemtery in the small comunity of Plumlee. The cemetery got its name because the first one to die was a Plumlee. The Plumlees came from the same area as my Smiths in TN.
I have a lot more information if you need it.
Nancy
