I find Warren Co. mentioned in a veteran's land application submitted by my ggg grandmother for her husband's service in the War With the Florida Indians. The following excerpt is from that application.

"She (Mourning Hughes Potts, in 1850) further states that she was married to the said John M. Potts in Warren County Tennessee on the sixteenth day of January, A. D. 1821 by one John Gee, a Justice of the Peace and that her name before her said marriage was Mourning Hughes, that her said husband died at his residence in Jackson County, Alabama on the Third day of March A. D. 1839 and that she is still a Widow."

Anyone with information about the Hughes, Potts, or Gee families please contact me.
