Surnames: Satterfield, Ragland
Reuben was married to Elizabeth Ragland (the widow Coson). They lived in District 7 of Wilson Co. But, Reuben also had a farm in District 10 near the farm of his wife's 1st cousin, Pettus Ragland. Pettus and Reuben didn't get along too well. Have a county court document stating that Reuben and Pettus came to blows and Reuben was banned from Pettus' property. Eventually, Reuben and family returned to Sumner Co. where he lived when he married Elizabeth. He died Jan. 29, 1873. He and Elizabeth had eleven children: Martha Ann, Evan Reuben, Judith, Cindrella, Levi Durham, Salina H., Benjamin Marion, Mary Paralee, Samuel James Turner, Elizabeth & Malissa.
