I'm researching my husband's family. The Humes Family in Tennessee. My husband's fourth great grandfather and grandmother were from Tennessee. They're names William A. Humes and he married Malinda Denham in Monroe Co., Kentucky in 1877. William's parents were both lived in Tennessee, but not sure if they settled in Kentucky. I don't know William's father's first name or his mother's, but on the marriage records of Willeam and Malinda Humes his mother's maiden name is Ward. I feel possibly William's father is from Virginia. I'm not sure. He could of been born in Tenn. William was born in 1841 or 1842. I have gone through Humes born in the 1810's . I've researchedthe federal census which may not be to reliable as far back as the 1840's. I want to find William's parents. Where could they be? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You, mchumes1
