Surnames: Douthit lines
I am sorry that I could not respond sooner. I too have the Douthits all the way back to Robert Andrew Douthit in Ireland born in 1683, in Coleraine, Ireland. I am well aware that the Douthits married Elrods. James Marion Douthit married Malissa Ann Parker in 1848. I have him born in Rutherford County, Tennessee in 1825. He died in early 1880s, I have been to Douthit Cemetery located in Anderson County off S. Hwy 19 between Palestine and Elkhart. He has a Texas Calvary marker on his grave. He was also a hero of the Battle of San Jacinto. You can find the page on him if interested in the Heros of the Battle of San Jacinto.
The only lines I am having trouble with at this time is the Parker. I have the Childers back to Virginia and the Davis and Scott which I have been working on quite a bit.
Thanks anyway. I do have FamilyTreeMaker and would love a copy of your lineage just to match up and as soon as I fill in my gaps I just got info. for I can email you a copy of mine.
Tracy
