Huberta had older sister named Alabama B Crane born 1850 in MS, perhaps Lauderdale county. Alabama B Crane married Hazel/Hazle L Mitchell 1868 in Leake county MS. The Ray family and the Mitchell family are in Robertson county TX 1880 census and appear to have arrived late 1860's. Alice Mitchell born in Texas in 1870.

Unable to find the Crane's and Mitchell's in the 1870 record. The Mitchell's are in Robertson county in 1900 census. Hazel listed as Hazeline age 53 and Alabama listed as Alabam B age 49; Edna, age 22, Fayett age 20, Minnie age 16, Estell age 14, John age 12, Howard age 10 and Joe age 7.

The Ray's were in Copiah Co MS in 1860. Wm Andrew's father "Andy" Ray born 1814 SC, Josephine 1818 birth place listed MS in 1860 record, Thomas age 17, Miles age 15, Alice age 8, Wm A listed as Andy age 6, James age 3 and Erastus age 7 mos. I could not find the Ray's in 1870 record either.

Perhaps they met and married in MS before coming to Texas but no marriage record found in MS ?
