Hello.

By any chance are you a Red researcher? I have a suspicion Tabitha is a Red, but no proof. The first census would not be my Tabitha, I dont suspect. She was living in Union, LA with her husband and kids.

By 1856, she and John Perkins and oldest William are settled in Angelina County and there are lots of Reds in Angelina at the time which furthers my notion she is related to the Reds. I have presumed she was a daughter of James E Red of Greene Co, AL in 1820s/30s but she may or may not. The Perkins were in Dallas/Sumter/Wilcox AL during the 1830s, so is likely John and Tabitha married post 1835, first child born about 1837.
