OK, There were two Emma Mannings. The one that died in 1988 , where the judge in Rockport indicated that the family was to pick up remains on Feb 17, 1995 is NOT The Emma I am looking for. I obtained her obit and as strange as it is , it makes no mention of the husband. And yes, it is very weird that her remains were to be picked up seven years later! I dont know why.
The Emma I am looking for died Dec 27, 1971 in San Patricio County Texas. Having said that ; I obtained her obituary as well and it makes no mention of the husband Robert Eason Manning. Either way, both instances seem unusual. So I dont know what to think.
