Pleasant recieved land patents in Uvalde County in 1862 and Kendall County in 1878. You can get these documents from the Texas General Land Office website. I know they are from the same Pleasant Wright because his signature is the same on both documents, and Kendall County deed records mention Minnie as his wife. He also owned a piece of property in San Antonio (available in the Bexar County archives)that was located on the property that is now the Alamodome.
The link below is a map I created that actually shows the plots of land he owned accross the state. I have a background in real estate, so all it took was reading the surveys and plotting accordingly.
The reason he moved so much isn't totally clear. Uvalde County voted against sucession in the civil war and became a very dangerous place after the war began. There was also quite a bit of persecution for Germans which probably had an impact on Minnie. Census records indicate Pleasant was a farmer in 1860 (in Dawson County which is not the same as current day Dawson County and is now defuct. 1860 Dawson County is actually present day Kinney and Uvalde). In 1870 Pleasant was a jailor in San Antonio. Something lead Pleasant to Kendall County in 1878 and I suspect it related to the train which ran from San Antonio to Kendall and the opportunity to own farmland.
What's odd is that Pleasant sold his Kendall land in 1884, and the majority of his children were born and lived in Atascosa County which is quite a ways away (actually closer to where he was buried).
Hope his helps
