I am researching Henry Christian Kiel. According to verbal family history, Mr. Kiel died in a train wreck in Brewster County in 1902. At that time the Galveston Harrisburg and San Antonio Railroad went through Brewster Co. and had a station at Maxon, also called Maxon Springs and the wreck happened close to that station. Does anyone with connections to Brewster County have any facts about this accident? Any newspaper accounts, statistics, family diaries, anything at all that can tell me where to look for more information or any documentation at all?
