Looking for information on my gggrandfather Wilson Rogers b. January 22, 1843 in Mississippi and died May 26, 1899 in Llano Co., Texas. Both of Wilson's parents were born in Mississippi. Wilson is buried at Flat Rock Cemetery in Lone Grove, Llano Co., Texas.

Wilson served in Company H 2nd Texas Infantry and later was ordained as a minister, he was of the Methodist faith.

I can first account for Wilson in texas in the 1860's but he could have been here before this time. His first child was born in 1867 and he married Sarah Elizabeth Williamson prior to this birth in Coryell County, so maybe the mid 1860's.

Wilson's children:

Daniel Martin
Stephen Edgar
William Thomas
Marion Allen
George Washington

There could be other children but these are the only ones I have documentation on. Wilson was married twice that I know of, his first wife was Sarah Elizabeth Williamson and his second wife was Prudia J. Williamson. I have no idea who Wilson's parents were or his siblings. Do you connect to this Rogers line or have information to share? If so please contact me at nwiebe@dashlink.com

Thanks,
Nicole in Kempner, Texas
