"Uncle Dick" Coon and my grand father were partners in the ranching operation out of Dalhart, Texas. They started their partnership in 1915 and continued until about 1939. Uncle Dick died in 1941. The coon and Culbertson partnership built up their heard of registered Herefords to be the largest registered herd in the world during the 1930's. The also were a fore runner in developing the Brayford Breed.
