In looking on usgenweb.org, I see there are legal guardians appointed for Samuel, Solomon, Matilda and Isaac Tanner. Have you ordered the paperwork to see if it gives the Mother's name? Often they will state the Mother's name, and that she is deceased, remarried,etc.
