OBITUARY
OBITUARY
Sister Lillie Ligon was born April 23, 1872 and was a regular attendant at the Spring Gap Sunday School for some months previous to her conversion in August 1892 when she was baptized and received into full fellowship of this church and was ever after an exemplary member to her death Feby 15, 1896.
She was aware of her aproching morality and expressed a desire to live to raise her dear little boy and be with her loved ones, but was resigned to go to rest. Although attended by the best medical aid and kindly cared for by loved ones, her gentle spirit was taken away and we believe is now sweetly resting with her dear Savior. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord:
Rest dear Lillie, Jesus keeps you
With a kind and loving hand
Close beside the sparkling waters
in that bright and better land HER MOTHER
And with loving hearts dear Lillie,
We will try to follow you
Hoping when we meet in Heaven
All our pleasures will renew HER SISTER ESTELLE
Resolved by the Shiloh Baptist church in conference assembled at the Spring Gap school house that we tender our hearfelt sympathy to the sorrowing widowed mother, sisters and brother and the heart broken husband so sadly bereft in the death of our dear sister, praying that when the death angel shall knock at your chamber may each one be ready to join her in her blissful home.
