Annie Myrtle Harris 1926 Death

I am searching for more information on the death of Annie Myrtle (Breeding) Harris. Headstone (photo @ Find A Grave) says she died in 1926 (1895-1926), and buried in Oplin Cemetery, Oplin, Callahan, Texas. In the 1930 census for Callahan County, she is listed with her family, husband Will T (William Thomas) and children, Alvin and Lorene. I've searched Texas Death Index and Death Certificates with no success in finding her listed. Does anyone have more info regarding an exact date of death, or obituary? Thanks

Hello!
Yes I do have my trees on ancestry but they are not public. I can invite you as a guest. Ellie is my son's gggreanmother.
Ellie and John Andrew Jackson
Stella 1893-1970
I thought maybe a brother and another sister but cannot confirm as the family has no idea Cora Pearl? and John R?
Flossie born 1902 to Ellie and Andrew.
Flossie is my son's ggrandmother. She married John Edward Walsh sometime between 1920 and 1924 and they lived in New Orleans and she died 1975. They had one daughter,
Bettye Ruth Walsh born 1925 and died 1995. She married Carl Bryan Vineyard and they had 3 sons,
Richard born 1951
Robert born 1955-2012
Ralph born 1956 he is my son's father.
I was looking to find Andrew Jackson's parents from Arkansas, there many Jackson in the census in Arkansas. My son and I live in Missouri and Ralph lives in Covington, LA which is across the lake from New Orleans. We have a good relationship even with the divorce. The tree we are making will be duplicated for him to have also. Ralph said he thought that Flossie and John Edward had a troubled marriage, but Flossie raised the 3 boys really. Their father was a merchant seaman and gone about 8-10 months at a time and Bettye was young and liked to go out, (this is something the boys told me)but Flossie was always there for them.
Thanks Glenda

The Heslep, Dodds, Hart families all had a family reunion in Buffalo Gap, TX each year and I met many family members during those gatherings. Ellie always attended. Are you on ancestry?
As per your replies to my query. I Was aware of all info you sent and thank you for assistance. I realize this is difficult which is why I gave info aviable and requested help. I agree Victoria died at child birth but cannot figure who death cert is for and if for child why not one for her. Confusion. I also agree that the mother's name on W.C. Burleson's death cert is wrong, but Eugernia died 30 years previous and perhaps no one remembered. There was an O'Shields family in Callahan Co. and I had imfo on census at one time, but have not had time to reconstruct since I lost all info a year ago in a county wide fire. Thank you for the help Jo

Via your online profile you are researching surname Burleson? M. E. Gardner wed W. C. "Burlerson", 28 Dec 1874, in Newton, MS. M. E. was Meranda Eugene Gardner and W. C. was William Carlina Burleson. They were George L.'s parents, as well as others. Start research in 1900 Bosque-Precinct 7-District 0010-Image 38. Find William Burleson, Miranda E., Harriet E., James C., and George. Miranda enumerated with five of nine children still living. I believe the missing kids were Nathaniel Marion Burleson (ca. 1876) and William C. Burleson Jr. (ca. 1877). W. C. Jr's death certificate has a different mom. However, I believe that's erroneous? In 1910 Callahan-Precinct 4-0011-Image 23, households were led by William Sr, William Jr, and James C. In my experience family members tended to live close to each other during early transitions such as relocation between states. William C. Burleson Jr (29 Sep 1877 - 18 Apr 1970), N. M. Burleson (Age 42 - 24 Apr 1917), Harriett Elizabeth Robinson (25 Sep 1882 - 28 jan 1972), James Chancler Burleson (1 Sep 1884 - 16 Dec 1959), and George Lafette Burleson (29 Apr 1890 - 18 Sep 1945). George's kids were Lonnie Jewell Burleson (29 Aug 1916 - 22 Jul 2000) and Dorothy Faye. George remarried 'cause death certificate witnessed by Mrs G. L. Burleson. Meranda Eugene Burleson (19 Aug 1859 - 11 May 1940) and findagrave W. C. Burleson (27 Jul 1855 - 2 Jan 1917).

You need to share more info! This is a difficult search! That death certificate on Vicktoria is misleading. She was the wife of George Burleson and possibly died as a result of childbirth? That's based on birth certificate for "unnamed" female child born 24 Aug 1919 to the couple. The "unnamed" child was the mother's third birth. In 1920 Callahan-Precinct 4-District 35-Image 6, George L. Burleson was widowed with his mom (Jenie M.) and children: Jewell L. and Fay J. I'm stating the "unnamed" child and her mom perished prior to 1920. Additional support found on WWI Draft Registration for George Lafette Burleson in Coryell. At that time, he had a wife and one child aged nine months. That child was son Jewell L. (Powell). His wife was possibly pregnant with daughter Faye? At any rate, this family is a difficult research! There's more!!!!

I have been doing genealogy on my side and my son's. My son's father and his brothers know very little about the Jackson's and Heslep side.
Thank you for looking for me as well as the suggestion to check neighboring counties. I know the Lanes settled in Baird for a while, so thought I might get lucky and have an easy one. Ha!

I'll try neighboring counties, then if those don't pan out, will send in the request/fee to Dallas County (they briefly lived in Dallas before moving to Baird, so that's a possibility).

Thanks again!

Didn't happen in Callahan! Guessing you focus on Callahan 'cause James Olan Lane's WWI Draft Card indicates birth in that county? There are no borders for Texas marriages. The nuptials could have been performed in any county. Routinely, couples chose the nearest County Seat regardless of their residence. As an example: Hughes Springs is part of Cass County. The Cass government is locate in Linden approx. 15 miles from Hughes Springs. Five miles from Hughes Springs is the Morris County Seat in Daingerfield. Guess where many Hughes Springs residents chose to obtain marriage license? http://texas.hometownlocator.com/maps/statecountymap.cfm Call the neighboring County Clerks.

Call the County Clerk's office and request a lookup in the index. All counties have marriages idexed: by groom by time period and by bride by time period. Lookups can be done in minutes and will confirm, yea or nay, the marriage took place in the county. http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/cclerks.shtml#M

Samuel Ingram left Illinois in 1852 and came to Texas.
He settled in Bastrop, Texas in 1854. There are still Ingrams in the Bastrop area. I live in Fort Worth. Tx .
