You are seeking a response from Dorcas J. Duffy? I'm not that person or related/acquainted. Review the 1880 census image to learn Tom Bolton was an adopted son of the McGee(s). Tom's online death certificate (incorrect birth) identifies his father as Polk Bolton and mother was unknown to informant. Perhaps marriage data will help establish family ties? Both Delia and Polk enumerated as Mississippi-natives so they may have been related? In 1870, Delia eldest child was enumerated as born in 1857-Texas. Call Upshur County Clerk and request: "lookup in marriage index for male McGee, 1846-1870 to any female". That request should be honored 'cause it'll require less than 5 minutes. http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/cclerks.shtml#M Camp County was created from Upshur in 1874 so the marriage data should be found in Upshur? I agree with comments in your final sentence.
