How to research marriage prior to 1887?

Classification: Query
Surnames: Richardson, Bigg, Biggs
Anyone know how far back the marriages at the Cass County, County Clerk go? My ancestor was born in Atlanta, Cass County, TX in 1887. I don't know where his parents married, but Cass County is the most likely place to look first. I don't know for sure when they married, but obviously I can assume it was before 1887. My research thus far tells me the father was George Richardson, born in England, and the mother's maiden name was Biggs, either born in England or Texas (source info varies).

Can't find the family in the 1900 census no matter how many different ways I look for it. In 1910, the son (my ancestor) is married. No other info on his parents or siblings. I've tried looking for George Richardson, but it's too common of a name to find the right one. No birth record available for my ancestor, William, in 1887. I'm stuck. I thought maybe looking for the marriage record would help me.
