Just this last Sat. a cousin and I visited the Pyland Cemetery just outside of Avinger, Cass County, Tx. This cemetery is located SE of Avinger on Hwy. 49. From the road this cemetery sits on top of a very small hill and looks as if it were taken great care of. HOWEVER, once you look directly behind the fenced in area to the older part of the cemetery it is in pathetic condition. I feel that some of the SMITH's ancestor's of mine are buried there, but without taking the chance of being snake bit I could not find them. The grass is as high, or higher than some of the tombstones in the cemetery. Would anyone here know of who to contact to maybe just have this part of the cemetery mowed ? It is so sad to see this happen. My husband and I would take it upon ourselves to try to mow it, but we live way too far away.

Thank you all for any help or suggestions.
