johnrx and Yolanda Pepper - responding to your very old message regarding the Peppers. Sallie Findly (tombsone spelling) Pepper was my Gr. Grandmother, my mother's grandmother. I have inherited some of her possessions. She and many of her children are buried in the Pepper Family Plot in the Petrolia, Tx City Cemetery. The home my grandfather built for her is still standing in Petrolia. I visited recently and intereviewed the present owners, who were very interested in knowing all about the house. Sallie's husband, A. C. (Arthur Clark) Pepper and most of the Findly family who came from Ireland are buried in the Harmony Hill Cemetery west of Tatum, Tx (east of Henderson, TX). It's a beautifully maintained cemetery. We were unable to find Elizabeth Pepper Barger's tombstone, but did find many of the Barger family, I believe in the Charlie Cemetery. If you get this message I would like to hear of your connection with the Peppers and Findly family. Yolanda, are you related to my uncle "Pit" Pepper who lived in Pipe Creek, TX prior to his death? He is buried in the Stewart Cemetery between Henderson and Tatum, Texas. My email is nancybensontate@suddenlinkmail.com.
