I am looking for information and photos of my great grandparents. John August Nipp b. 1864 Iowa to Alois Nipp and Johanna Boss. The family moved to Yankton County, South Dakota. All of the family stayed in South Dakota except John August Nipp, who moved to Texas after 1880. He met and married Catherine Castor in Lindsay, Cooke County, Texas in 1894. The Castor family had moved to Texas from Michigan. Catherine was the daughter of Jacob Castor and Gertrude Thomas. By 1899 John and Catherine were living in Fort Worth.
Catherine's obituary (Feb. 20, 1942) states that she was survived by a sister, Mrs. John(Lucy)Schlangen of Gainsville.
