I'm looking for any information on the family of Ben T. Curtis, his wife Jane and their daughter Roxana.
Roxana was my wife's grandmother.

Ben and family appeared on the 1880 US Census of Cooke, Co., TX. Roxanna married Gaylon Joseph Cox 16 Nov 1899 in Gainsville. They later removed to Oklahoma where my wife's mother was born. Roxana was the second wife of Joe Cox.

on his census entry Ben T. Cox is recorded as being born in Minnesota and that his mother and father were also born there. His age would have made this about 1813 which seems very, very early to have been there for him and almost impossibly early for his parents to have been born there. His wife Jane was born about 1853 in Alabama and this gap of 38 years in their ages also gives me cause to wonder if there was some mistake in his age, and the whole Minnesota business makes me wonder if he ws in the witness protection program.
