Jim, Josiah Sirn Spikes was my maternal great grandfather. It is true that all of his family was living in Coryell County at his time of death. However, Josiah must have died between 1908 and 1909. He was not listed on the 1910 Census. His wife Amanda and 4 of their daughters moved to Dallas and are buried there. Should you want any other inform about that, I can help you with that part. No one seems to know where he is buried or the exact year. But I would say yes to Waco area. There was a family of Jayroe's that one of Josiah's daughter married. She was my maternal great grandmother by the name of Ada May Spikes Jayroe.
