Hello. Ban Casser Watson was my GGGrandfather, & there are a few mysteries surrounding his family. Any information is greatly appreciated. Here is what I know.

Aliases of Ban Casser are C.A., C.B., B.C., Cazor, Casa B., and pretty much any other variation you can think of. He was born in Georgia in May of about 1859.

The family lines through John Wesley & Thad Eugene are solid. I have their marriages, their children & most of THEIR marriages & children, & so on. They all remained in the Tarrant/Dallas county area & most are still there to this day. This is where the mysteries begin, though.

I can't locate any of this family in the 1920 Census.

I don't know what happened to any of their other children.

I don't know Mary's last name or anything about her family.

I can't find a death record for Mary.

I've been unable to determine the true parents of John Wesley, Thad Eugene, & Rosa M ... as they were all born before the marriage, it's likely they all had a step-parent in either Mary or Casser.

Although I think I may have a lead on Ban Casser's family in Georgia, it is far from solid evidence. (There is someone recorded as CB, m, age 1 in 1860, Casga, m, age 10 in 1870, then Cassalina, f, age 21 in 1880 in a family in Upson, Georgia records. Also in Upson, GA there is a record of a C.A. Watson marrying Ida Hayes June 1, 1881. This would seen to time out right with the birth of John Wesley. However, Bible records at the Upson County Archives records this child as Carolina.)

I don't know why Casser ended up at the County Farm - it would seem with 6 children he would've been taken in by family. As evidenced by the lack of information and cross-throughs on the D.C. & finding no gravesite - it seems his body was never claimed.

If ANYONE out there has ANY additional leads on this family... please let me know. This has been my brick wall for several years.

Thank you,
Laura
