I have found a recent tie in with this family name that is proving difficult to run down. I'm hoping that some of you who have spent a lot of time with this name can help.

The 1920 Dallas, TX census shows my great grandfather William Thomas Gullette married to Lee Swearengen. I know this because her mother is living with them, Rebecca Swearengen.

Today I received a list of marriage license requests from the Dallas county clerk and I see that Lee was Dora L Langston. So it would appear that Dora Lea Swearengen married a Langston before marrying my great grandfather.

The marriage date for Dora L Langston and Willim T. Gullette is 17 Apr 1916 in Dallas, Dallas, TX.
