I have just traced my husband's great-grandfather to Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas. He was lost track of for one hundred years. On the internet I found that he was the proprietor of the Camp Street Opera House in 1893 and 1894. Would anyone in the Dallas area have any information about this theater? My husband's grandfather's name was Augustus M. WOOD. He also was is business with his brother, Melton D. WOOD and they had a restaurant-saloon right next to the Camp Street Opera House. The cross street location is Camp and Griffin. Are these streets still in existence?
