Classification: Query
Surnames: MCDONALD, LARGE, LOYD, LLOYD
More information: Mary's maiden name was Mary MCDONALD she was born in either Missouri or Tennessee. Mary married a John W. MCDONALD (a cousin perhaps?) but he died by 1869 and Mary remarried to a Abner N. LOYD. Abner either died or they got divorced. Her children from the 1st marriage were: Martha Jane LARGE (d 1941), Middleton MCDONALD (d 1892) and John S. MCDONALD (bef. 1896). I could not find Mary LOYDs grave at www.findagrave.com . I always look for both spellings of Loyd and Lloyd but have not found her. I had once written to the county clerk for Dickens County and they said there was no probate record. I've looked around in the surrounding counties for a grave but no luck. In 1910, she living with William Hunter and James Harris families in Dickens County but by 1920, Mary wasn't there with them and presumed dead. Tis a mystery, indeed.
