Joseph Benson Carson was reported to be born 07 Sept 1862 MS died in Odessa at his residence at 1129 Sherwood 03 Apr 1952 parents were unknown to informant Mrs. R M King. He had lived in Odessa 10 yrs when he died per Mrs. R M King, buried in Odessa Cemetery, Rix Funeral Home.

Rufus Melvin King born in KY 25 Sept 1906 died in Odessa 03 Apr 1957, resident of Odessa 18 yrs son of Ben M King and Mollie Bishop of KY per Mrs. Honey King informant. Buried Odessa Cemetery, Paul R Rix Funeral director. He was oil field transportation supt.

Have no proof Mrs. R M King was wife of the above Rufus Melvin King nor how the relationship was to Joseph Benson Carson. Unknown if the below marriage record is same Joseph B Carson or that they were parents of Meddie Carson. Joseph B Carson was from Pontotoc county MS was married at least twice, 2nd or 3rd wife was a "Farr" and his parents were James Carson and "Melinda FALKNER"

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeffrey Thomas and Gladys Wilkes.
