The Lost boy...is the Last Boy... John D. Jones

There is a grave near Medio creek in Bee County and locals have thought it to be of a Lost Boy...since it is marked "Our Lost Boy" John D. Jones and the birth and death dates. Bill Newsom of Bee County sent me the photo of the stone and I researched and discovered it was that of a 13 yr. old boy, the last boy (not lost boy)...of Ransopher Heywood and Cassandra Morris Jones. The grave is on what used to be the Seeligson Ranch.

They moved to Falls County Texas after leaving Bee County and that is where the rest of the family is buried. This stone had fallen and was raised by locals and is standing upright...but it is in danger of someday eroding in to Medio Creek.

If there are any family members out there...who might be interested in trying to preserve it... I don't know if it is possible...but maybe something could be done. There is a cemetery within 6 miles of the grave.
