You need a friend in Leon County! That's where the father registered for WWII Draft and was buried (13 Sep 1877 - 17 Mar 1949). Burial location also true for ONLY son, Andy (6 Oct 1910 - 13 Mar 1989). Andy's wife Winnie Rae (nee: Parker) Taylor also buried in Leon (24 Nov 1920 - 12 Aug 1961). The mom, Ida Bell Taylor (5 Jan 1888 - 22 Nov 1967) died in Freestone but was a resident of Leon County. Now then, Lizzie aka Elizabeth Taylor wed Freddie J. Howard. Find them 1940 Leon-Other Places-(145-8)-Images 8 & 9 with five kids. Contact with members of this family may produce desired results? From Texas Birth Index: Nellie Mae (23 Nov 1939), Byron D. (30 Sep 1936), Hugh Douglas (11 Jan 1938 - 4 Oct 1941), Melvia Dee (18 Jun 1942), Lillie Pearl (2 Apr 1944), Judith Ann (6 Dec 1945), and Cathy Elizabeth Winstead (29 Jul 1949 - 26 Feb 1968). Their parents: Freddie Howard (16 Sep 1912 - Oct 1983) and Elizabeth (17 Jun 1914 - Jul 1985) died in Leon County (Jewett). In addition to previously cited 1930 census, find them 1920 Milam-Precinct 2-District 116-Image 12 as surname "Tayler" and 1910 Milam-Precinct 2-0057-Image 44. Wish that you had names on that tree? That would prevent research of info you already possessed. Armstead's father was John Taylor. Believe his mom may have been M. F. Gillespie? There is a marriage record for those two, 17 Sep 1876 in Falls County.
