go to Ft Bend Co Courthouse, then to County Clerks office for Vitals...Births, marriage & deaths. Plug in your ancestors surname to search all. If the record is listed, you can order a certified copy for a nominal fee + postage.
They have been very good to work with! You might peruse the site & look for land records, or probate records (from wills or the Court Minutes for a specific time frame). Some "unofficial copies" are on-line, so jot down the reference info for a certified copy.
