DEATH OF AN OLD CITIZEN

On Monday morning, May 20, 1895, Mrs. Marie Magdalena Stelter died at her residence on the corner of Market and Tenth streets in this city. The deceased had been a resident of Galveston since 1846, and died on the day she became 79 years old. She was buried on Tuesday afternoon, May 21, 1895, at 4 o’clock. Her husband, Frederick Stelter, preceded her in death six months and fifteen days, he having died on November 5, 1894, at which time he was a little over 87 years of age.
