My sister, Brenda (Clements) Long, found a stock certificate in my father's Bible. I was wondering if anyone knew the history of this stock?
I know it is not worth anything but this was the first we had ever heard of it. My father passed away in 1965, I have made copies and sent one today to our cousin Bruce Hanson in Midland, Texas.
I would like to know the history of this company. Here is what we know.
The company was unincorporated, capitol stock was $200,000.00, the shares sold for $25.00 each, and the date recorded was February 27, 1919.
The stock certificate is NO. 52, and the certificate has not been signed anywhere and no name attached.
I assume this was a get rich quick deal, but I would like to know the history. I realize most of the old timers are now gone, such as my grandmother Christine (Hanson) Bigby and her brother "Uncle Bud" Hanson, but I would like to hear anything on this!
Thank You,
William W. Clements JR.
