My most significant brick wall is in my paternal great grandfather's WILSON line. "Striking Out" for the past 9 years on dealing with him directly, I am starting a new strategy, directing inquiries regarding known uncles and cousins.
This inquiry has to do with the middle name of one of my first cousins, twice removed. It was prompted by seeing a grave marker of a PINKSTON located in a Grayson County cemetery.
George Pinkston WILSON was born in 1887, son of Charles
WILSON and his wife who was either a MARSHALL or (I am hoping!) a PINKSTON. His sister, Susan was born in 1885 in Dexter, Cooke County, Texas. I suspect their farm was close to the border of Grayson and Cooke Counties.
This inquiry has to do with the PINKSTON middle name...the only time this name appears in this branch. Is anyone out there researching PINKSTONs in Grayson or Cooke? Do these names sound familiar?
