Slaves of the Whitesides Family

Classification: Query
Two of my earliest ancestors Carey and Matilda Whitesides and their children Deppie, Hannah, Harriet, Patience, Jack, and Mary Whitesides, were former slaves in Grimes County Texas.

I suspect/assume that they all must have been owned by the Whitesides Family because of their surname.

The 1860 Grimes county slave census has a J.S Whitesides with 17 slaves (with similar ages to my ancestors), and a J.J Whitesides with 4 slaves.

The 1850 slave census has S.T Whitesides with 12 slaves and T.J Whitesides with 11 slaves.

Does anyone have any information on this extended Grimes County Whitesides family pertaining to their slaves, such as estate/probate and/or Tax records? ...or where I could find them?
