Classification: Query
Surnames: MILLICAN, MILLIGAN, MILLIKEN, HUSS
Lots of good info, thanks. I have found mention of a Herman Millican as a pastor at White's Chapel UMC during the '30s. I've contacted the North Texas UMC Conference office requesting information. I've also found a living UMC Pastor Ed Millican. I called the church and left a message. Hopefully will hear something back in the next few days.

Anyway... the Herman on the SSI DI and the info you forwarded may not be for the Herman I'm looking for. The one I'm researching was originally surnamed HUSS, s/o Ammah Grace (MILLIKEN) HUSS (Freestone Cty, TX). I am told he changed his last name to a spelling variation of MILLIKEN and became a Methodist minister.

I do appreciate the info you found, however. Some of the MILLIKEN clan was mis-spelled to Milligan by the census takers and it's possible there still may be a tie-in. I'll just keep looking.
