Surnames: Rogers, Crockett and Porter
Hello all, appreciate these message boards and posts. I only recognize the name of Davy Crockett
from my tree for one, and from High School history class. I can appreciate the term, 200 pounds with his feet clean and stomach empty. Also the name Porter was my wife's ancestor's,were also on the Mayflower, 1620. My reason for this post is I just recently found a false document
pertaining to The Mayflower passenger Thomas Mathew Rogers. So many different dates for this
but the one that seem's most relevant is 1565 to 1621. One of the document's is the U.S.
and Canada Passenger and imigration List for Thomas Mathew Rogers. This document has
Sir Thomas Fitz Rogers arriving at Plymouth Massachussetts 1620. Only one problem with this info,
This Sir Thomas Fitz Rogers lived 1485 to 1530. That looks like they shipped him to Massachussetts when he was ninety years dead. I find other false documents on my tree also
pertaining to the Rogers lineage and others. Although I know a lot of dates and names are wrong' this is the worst I have seen in 4 years. Will appreciate any reply to this post. Thanks,
C.E.Rogers
