I am trying to locate the parents of all the following residents of Harrison Co. and Gregg Co., TX:

Sarah Anne Maxwell, m. Chillian Robert Roberts,

Abner Perry Howard b. 22 Apr 1808 in Bertie Co., NC
m. 1839 Elizabeth Caroline Conner, b. 1824-25 St. Clair
Co., AL., dau of David Conner b. 1792 Georgia, 9 time elected Senator from Alabama, he signed the first Constitution of that State. They moved to Texas in 1840-44, and also had two sons, John H. and Dan, who were both Captains in the Texas Army.
They were all my ancestors, but I am having trouble going back beyond them. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Marguerite Songy
