I do not know much about Richard Thomas's life before he moved to Texas though I do know there is a high probability that he lived in the Maury County, TN before moving on the MS then TX. His son George married a Richardson from Maury County area and also his son William married a Cannon from Maury County, TN.

I have searched for a marriage record between Richard and Mary Thomas in KY and the closest I have come is a Richard Thomas and a Polly Dawson marrying in Woodford County but have not been able to confirm this is my Richard Thomas.
