Silas Reid was in 1860 census in Wood Co TX (which is next to Rains Co) son of Rial P Reid b. AL 1820 and Feraby Reid b. AL 1824-1828 who had a brother named John P Reid b. AL 1849 and other siblings. Rial P Reed, Feraby, son Bailey b. 1842 and Nancy born 1844 were in Blount Co AL in 1850. Rial P Reed married Pheraby Hall in Blount Co 12 Apr 1841. No proof that this was the correct Reid/Reed family or where / when John Reid died.
