I had a question about a Texas Muster Roll Index Card, 1838 - 1900 for a Thomas W Warren.
Name & Rank: Warren, Thomas W., Capt
Organ: Co. C, Volunteers Houston Cty., TST
Enlist: Jan 8-63 at Crockett for 3 months
Descrip: Age 42 yrs
Remarks: R&F 77; Enr. & Mus. off. L.W. Cooper; Co. std at Camp Shiloh, Houston, Cty., Jan 8-63; Caption of roll states for state service, Endorsement for Confederate service; 1 MR dtd. Jan 8-63.
Did he have a unit designation instead of "Volunteers Houston County"?? What is "R&F 77"?? It looks like he was stationed at Camp Shiloh in Houston County. I don't know what "1 MR" means?? Appreciate any feedback / help. It looks like he may have died before 1870, but don't now if it was related to the war yet or not as I don't have a date of death yet. Thanks for your help
