I'm looking for information on James Kilgore that was one of the original land owners in Hunt Co., TX. I'm trying to see if he's the same James Kilgore that was in Rapides Parish, LA in 1810 & 1820 before vanishing. The one that was in Rapides Parish I believe to be my 4x gr grandfather, father of my 3x gr grandmother Martha Kilgore, she had a sister Sophia Matilda Kilgore that married Dennis Mackie, a surveyor in LA. Both Martha and Sophia were born near Alexandria, Rapides Parish, LA abt 1800-1805.
