Looking for any information regarding William "Bill" Traylor & Elizabeth "Betsy" Traylor. According to a slave narrative given by former slave, Patsy Redd Southwell, her parents, John Redd & Rose Redd, were slaves who belonged to Bill Traylor. Apparently, Traylor's, plantation covered about 1500 acres and was known as Rock Hill Plantation in Jasper County, Texas. I am unable to find any information regarding Traylor, but I did find John Hayes, whom was born in Green County, Georgia on Oct. 12 1794. Does anyone know the relation between John Hayes and Elizabeth Traylor? Did Elizabeth re-marry? Patsy mentions the "Haynes" place in her narrative. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
