Miss Dorothy Baker, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Stevenson and John C. Bryant, III, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Bryant were married Thursday, 4 March 1937 at the home of Rev. and Mrs. E.A. Reed. Rev. Reed, pastor of St. John's Methodist Church, officiated. Miss Helen Miller and Johnny Lyons attended the ceremony.
The couple visited briefly with the bride's brother, Douglas Baker, a student in the University of Oklahoma at Norman, OK. The couple will make their home in Stamford.
Both young people are prominent members of the Stamford younger set. Each graduated from the Stamford High school, the groom in 1932 and the bride in 1935. For several years Mr. Bryant has been employed as a salesman for the Hamilton Brown Shoe Company, covering a large territory. The bride is employed in the business office of Bryant-Link Company. She has been a popular representative of Stamford on a number of occasions. She represented Stamford as sponsor to the Midland and Haskell fairs and was awarded the title of goddess in winning first place at the Water Carnival at Sweetwater several years ago. She rode for the Sweetwater Club. She is a member oft he Bridge club and of the Business and Professional Women's Club.
