Would like to contact other descendants of David HARR [24 Jun 1819-24 Jun 1867] & Missouri Louisiana WOOD(S)[2 Feb 1827-21 Jan 1917] md 3 Sep 1846 in Weakley Co., TN. They came to Texas as a part of the "Mercer" Colony & were in Kaufman Co., by 1850. David is buried somewhere near Abner. Missouri never remarried & is buried in Walters, OK. They had 5 children, John W [1847-?]never married?, Nancy Eudora [Dec 1848-18 Apr 1931] md Jesse Allen WATKINS, Charles W [21 Sep 1850-14 Feb 1879, shares his father's tombstone]never married, Jonathan Francis [3 Feb 1855-aft 1936]md Orvie McKENZIE, George [ca 1850-ca 1860], and Louisiana [11 Feb 1862-1 Mar 1936] md Samuel Jefferson MULLINS {my great grandparents}. Would love to contact someone who could help track the parents of both David & Missouri. Found a letter that indicated some of David HARR's family were in Illinois ca 1870. Missouri's mother was supposedly Agnes FALL who may have died when Missouri was a small girl -- and may have spoke only Dutch. Family history reports the name 'HARR' was originally 'HOAR' but that it had been changed to protect daughters' reputations. Must have been an earlier generation since David's last name had changed by the time he married & is listed as 'HARR' on their marriage license. Thanks!
