Railroad Accident near Waring

Hello!

I am looking for information about a railroad accident that occurred near Waring, Texas on or around Sept. 16, 1904. Involved was my grandfather, Simon Lynton Trigo, who was about 11 at the time. I have no details about the accident, but I know that he lost his right leg at some point around this time, and I know that his mother sued the San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railroad and was awarded $11,000 in personal injury for her son (quite a sum of money in those days I suspect!). I've seen the brief article referring to the lawsuit online (at NewspaperArchive.com) but I can't find any articles referring to the accident.

Does anyone know anything about what happened? I would be very interested in knowing the details of this accident, to add to the genealogy. In return, I would, of course, be willing to share any information I might have that would be useful to you. Thank you!
