I am seeking information for any BOWDENS from Knox county or surrounding counties. My gg Grandmother was W.D. "Duck" BOWDEN. She was born in Franklin county, North Carolina on 3/21/1834. She married and moved to Arkansas. (Lawrence and Boone counties) She has family that moved to Texas. My grandmother has several old pictures passed down from her mother that were taken in Texas, and she thinks it is of the Bowdens, but not sure where. The back of some of the pictures show a studio in Munday, Texas. Any help would be appreciated, and would love to share the pictures with the family they belong to! The pics are probably taken in the late 1800's, very early 1900's. Other towns on the back of some pics are Sipe Springs and Ogilive? Can't find them on a map!
